Get Your Point Across

Industry statistics reveal that the highest percentage of errors can be attributed to poor requirements; more than any other category. The solution is clear. Accurately-defined requirements up front save you from costly rework later. Whether you are an information system user or developer, getting your point across clearly will save you time and money.

What you'll be able to do:

Use time-proven tools to define the requirements of each job
Elicit unspoken needs and goals
Develop confidence through the four proven methods of developing rapport with others
Convey information to others, including how to frame critical questions to promote "ownership"
Reduce interpersonal conflict by the six steps to managing effective communication
Promote and use feedback effectively as a training technique
Identify and reduce ambiguity
Master 7 Key active listening skills focused on information gathering
Identify and understand critical non-verbal feedback (especially from sources you may not have considered)

This two-three day workshop is designed specifically with one central focus -- enhancing your communication skills and thereby making you more efficient and more valuable to your organization. The technique is simple; complete every job on time and exactly to clearly defined requirements.

The skill-building content for Facilitation consists of core content which we believe to be mandatory, and additional content to be selected by yourself based on your needs. Course length can be increased to accommodate large amounts of additional content.

Facilitation can be conducted to train professional facilitators, or to help self-directed teams facilitate themselves.

Course includes follow-up evaluation of process-oriented facilitation skills. This includes our staff acting as a silent facilitator observing a real team meeting conducted some time after the training.

Participants will significantly improve their abilities in the following areas:

Writing clearly
